man this sucks. no rides since the accident. have gained weight, am eating like a pig, and just am semi miserable. my injuries are getting better and apparently the scott can be saved which are both good news. so far with me my eye is healing well and have minimal damage left thats visable except for the bruising. my knee is going well too. the main pain im dealing with is in my right quads. feels like someone jammed a baseball into it and left it there. its difficult to bend my leg and yesterday was the first day going up stairs was semi manageable.
the scott was inspected by marc at efingers and he said there was no damage to the frame by some miracle. marc was able to get a crash replacement fork from scott that will only run $175. pretty good for a semi top of the line full carbon fork! after replacing that and fine tuning some other things the scott should be ready to go back on the road. but before that it needs to be reinspected by the guys in the cranford just for my piece of mind.
hopefully i can get back on the bike sometime this week. not going to go out and hammer obviously. just going to take the kona out most likely and spin around the back roads. just want to get the feel back into my legs and stretch out my leg a little more. as for a true 'comeback date' the 20th seems good for me. enough time to heal and come back to speed. going to ride on the trainer for a week before hand and maybe take the kona and cannondale out. definitely going to put the scott on the trainer and rock the shit out it though. much rather it fail on there than on the road.
looking to get back on the road!
